Assignment offers different sections to cover. The most common sections are introduction sections, body sections and conclusion sections. In this article we will discuss how to write an effective conclusion but before that, let’s see what conclusion is all about.
Conclusion is basically the summary of your thesis and arguments. They provide results of findings and help remember previous discussions on the topic. Remember; they are the last chances to impress your readers, so it is essential to make them more compelling and valuable. If you want to write them effectively, then have a look at the following:
• First of all, summarise your arguments which are discussed in the assignment. You can also summarise your main points in a brief manner. It is suggested to avoid providing a detailed summary of your essay because there is no need to practice repetition.
• Draw a conclusion from the points made in the assignment. This should be complementing to the discussions being made. It can be a suggestion on how to overcome an issue or it can be a general comment. Just keep it short and don’t exceed up to two or three sentence.
• Now, it’s time to restate your thesis. You can do it in the first or second sentence of your conclusion. Reword it from your introduction because it reminds the readers about the main focus of your assignment.
• An insightful comment may increase the value of your assignment. Evaluate where this comment can be placed so that your conclusion becomes more engaging. Remember, this light comment is only appropriate for certain topics. If you add it in a topic like “Social discrimination”, then obviously your assignment looks awkward.
So, this is all about effective conclusion writing. Make sure that it should not be too long because this may affect the overall readability of your work. Keep it to the point and restrict it to one paragraph only. Read the above points once so that you will be able to generate a clear understanding of how to write conclusion in a legitimate manner.
