TITLE PAGE
The title page of your lab report should state the title of your experiment, your name, your school name, running head, page header and lastly, the page number. Keep your title in between 12 to 15 words and never include filler words. Also, no abbreviations should be used while making your title page.
ABSTRACT
Abstract is a brief summary of your experiment. Keep it not more than a single paragraph and the maximum word count should be of 120 words. Add those who participated, include what methods are used to explore findings and what conclusions are derived from the experiment.
INTRODUCTION
Introduction should reflect the previous findings on the topic. It provides in-depth research on the respective subject that is several pages long. Citation of the sources can be included in the introduction as well. It is quite necessary to explain the predictions, conclusion and inconsistencies in the research. Don’t leave any important thing without exploring it completely.
METHOD
Your method section should involved participants, materials and apparatus used in the experiment. While citing your participants, add the number and background. Also, state their relation to the experiment and the reason to choose them. During listing apparatus, include books, images, instruments or any other materials used in the experimental process. Explain the entire procedure in detail with appropriate listing order and use past tense for further explanation.
RESULTS
In results section, relate the statistics of the collected data. Graphs, figures and tables are the best ways to show your results. This section should not be too much large and takes only a single page to get done. Give further explanations about your graphs, tables and figures so that the readers can understand their connection with the experiment.
DISCUSSION
In discussion section, discuss your data and decide whether it supports or disputes any information that is provided in the experiment.
REFERENCES
Last but not the least; list all the references in alphabetical order. Include all the titles and page numbers of any articles. Any references cited in your introduction or other parts of the report should be added on the reference page.
